Welcome to the fifty-first issue of my weekly news article, Love dA Lit! Every Sunday this news article will aim to promote volunteer opportunities, various resources, prompts, challenges, and workshops, as well as highlighting various contests, interviewing various members of the literature community and spotlighting a specific group every week. This is by no means a complete list of all the literature going-ons, merely a tool to help you get involved and stay informed.
Notes: New format! Since the merger of news articles into the journal category I've had to change the way some things are listed, but hopefully it doesn't affect anything[or anyone] too much. Also, go give lots of love to nycterent for her time as Literature CV!

NaNoWriMo-Love is a NaNoWriMo [Nation Novel Writers Month] based group. They have folders dedicated to all sorts of things NaNoWrimo, as well as member's novels. Learn more about this group by clicking here!
Thank you to BlueBlueFox, who promptly answered the following questions. ♥
How is NaNoWriMo-Love different from the other literature groups on dA?
NaNoWriMo-Love is mostly (actually singularly) based around the novel-writing event of NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month). It's most active probably in November, but I know of other unofficial NaNo events (such as JaNoWriMo) and Camp NaNoWriMo that I hope to use with this group in the coming year of 2012, and make it thrive for a better chunk of the year.
You recently stepped up to help run NaNoWriMo-Love during NaNoWriMo this year, can you tell me if you'll be hosting any events or projects? [If so, please explain a bit about them.]
Oh, I just answered that kinda, haha. Well, as I said, I know of several unofficial NaNo events, like JaNoWriMo (a NaNo taking place in January) and JuNoWriMo (a NaNo taking place in June) that can be used as sort of practice sessions. There is also Camp NaNoWriMo that I hope to stir up the group members for, which is a summer NaNoWriMo taking place in August and it has its own official website and everything.
You've participated in NaNoWriMo 7 times, do you have any advice for those attempting it for the first time?
Remembering the first year of my NaNo, all I can say is to just write. Even if you come up with thousands of plotholes (like I did) and horrendous grammar (like I did) and the contractions cannot be split (or you don't think to split them), just keep pounding away at your keyboard. Planning things makes it a little easier, but note that in NaNo, the pressure is on, and there will be indefinite amounts of subplot bunnies that will hack away at your carefully thought out plotline. Be prepared for long days and late nights as the weeks continue on. But also take care in knowing you're not alone, at least 200,000 other people around the world are right there with you.
Anything else of note that you would like to share?
Well, I would say join the group but that is entirely up to the people who wish to do NaNo, because seeing as it is NaNo-based, we would expect people to at least give the event a try. But for those who read this and are in the group, best of luck! And to all the writers out there, young and old, seasoned or new, best of luck in all you do! As Bill Stout says, "Whether or not you write well, write bravely."

Checking In
It's been quite a while since my last journal entry, about five years. I hope whoever is reading this knows I've never forgotten anyone and I think of all the friends I made here with such love and joy. I'm not sure how many people still linger on DA, but I hope that if you somehow stumble back to my page you know that I love you and wish you well. There is simply too much to go over for the span of five years, so I'll keep it short and sweet. I love you and I missed you. I don't write quite as much as I used to, but I've started dabbling more often again and was thinking of posting once more. I'm terribly out of practice, but it's something that's always been cathartic so it doesn't matter too much to me how "good" it is. Sometimes you just have to get the feelings out. Anyways, I hope you are having a wonderfully lovely day, my lovelies. How about some questions! What's your current favorite song? A video game you can't stop playing? TV show or movie you wish everyone else would
Renewal
It has been a rough few years for myself and my family. It is strange to think that for once in my adult life that I am legitimately doing well, not pretending or being close but not quite there. Things are almost infinitely better than 6 months ago and, if I'm honest, it feels like that was years ago. DA has always been a home and as I've slowly gotten better I find myself missing it and all the friends I've made more and more. I know I do not elaborate much on my personal life, but perhaps now that so much is behind me I can allow myself to discuss it more. In truth, I'm not even sure where to begin, but updating on what happened in the la
Birthdays and Change
I wanted to thank all the lovelies who wished me happy birthday recently, I read all your comments and it made me extremely happy. ♥ It was nice to hop on and see that I was thought of, I truly appreciate it beyond words.
However, I know have been very absent for a few months now. Things have not be going well in my life for the majority of the year (and if I'm honest the last 2 years) now and I have had to put DA on the back burner. I still find myself coming to the site, reading comments/replies, looking at deviations, but currently I am overwhelmed by everything that I can't bring myself to do much else.
I find myself now on the pr
