Welcome to the eighty-seventh issue of Love dA Lit! Every Sunday this article will aim to promote volunteer opportunities, various resources, prompts, challenges, and workshops, as well as highlighting various contests, and spotlighting a specific group every week. This is by no means a complete list of all the literature going-ons, merely a tool to help you get involved and stay informed.

TheWritingHaven is a close-knit group, with each member having their own gallery folder and encourages each member to reach out and critique another member's writing. Click here to learn a little more about this group's admins!
LionesseRampant, the founder of TheWritingHaven was kind enough to let me pick her brain a bit about the group.
How is TheWritingHaven different from the other literature groups on dA?
It's a group where every member has a folder, but you don't have to be a fantastic writer to join! We accept everyone, from people who are just starting out, to people who have been writing their whole lives. Once someone joins, I try to get their folder up and running ASAP. The submissions to your folder are unlimited. (If I ever get enough member, I'll have to change this, due to folder limits, but I'll worry about that when the time comes.)
What was the reason you created the group?
The reason I joined deviantART was to get feedback on my writing. I joined several groups off the bat, but there were others that I wasn't good enough to be in. I remember trying to join Elite-Literature because I thought that the layout was cool, and, when they declined me(for good reason; I was a horrible writer back then) I went in search for other groups that had the same layout, but were more joinable. I didn't find any, so, TheWritingHaven was born.
You recently stated TheWritingHaven would be hosting a contest, can we get any sneak peaks as to what you're planning?
Well, the group is turning one on the 17th of July so that's when the contest will be starting. It'll be like the first contest, with prose and poetry categories. But, I can't tell you what they're going to be. You'll just have to join and see!
Anything else of note that you would like to share?
I hope to be turning the group into a supergroup sometime soon, so, if you want to donate, go to my page!

Checking In
It's been quite a while since my last journal entry, about five years. I hope whoever is reading this knows I've never forgotten anyone and I think of all the friends I made here with such love and joy. I'm not sure how many people still linger on DA, but I hope that if you somehow stumble back to my page you know that I love you and wish you well. There is simply too much to go over for the span of five years, so I'll keep it short and sweet. I love you and I missed you. I don't write quite as much as I used to, but I've started dabbling more often again and was thinking of posting once more. I'm terribly out of practice, but it's something that's always been cathartic so it doesn't matter too much to me how "good" it is. Sometimes you just have to get the feelings out. Anyways, I hope you are having a wonderfully lovely day, my lovelies. How about some questions! What's your current favorite song? A video game you can't stop playing? TV show or movie you wish everyone else would
Renewal
It has been a rough few years for myself and my family. It is strange to think that for once in my adult life that I am legitimately doing well, not pretending or being close but not quite there. Things are almost infinitely better than 6 months ago and, if I'm honest, it feels like that was years ago. DA has always been a home and as I've slowly gotten better I find myself missing it and all the friends I've made more and more. I know I do not elaborate much on my personal life, but perhaps now that so much is behind me I can allow myself to discuss it more. In truth, I'm not even sure where to begin, but updating on what happened in the la
Birthdays and Change
I wanted to thank all the lovelies who wished me happy birthday recently, I read all your comments and it made me extremely happy. ♥ It was nice to hop on and see that I was thought of, I truly appreciate it beyond words.
However, I know have been very absent for a few months now. Things have not be going well in my life for the majority of the year (and if I'm honest the last 2 years) now and I have had to put DA on the back burner. I still find myself coming to the site, reading comments/replies, looking at deviations, but currently I am overwhelmed by everything that I can't bring myself to do much else.
I find myself now on the pr
