If you're looking for a sundial, we're not your people. If you want prompts, we got you. AYEEEEEEE by de-Mote

CRLiterature's Prompt Bank collects a bunch of prompts for your convenience so you can pick and choose without opening google. :') As pretty much all of these prompts aren't ours, just a collection of them, you're free to do as many or as little as you like.

If you're not finding these prompts difficult enough we'll give you a "mix and match" challenge that will require you to use multiple prompts in one piece. If you think your pens or keyboards can handle it.

DA Groups With Regular Prompts

Here are the most recent (at the time of THIS article's posting) prompts:

WP #141 for March 6-12 (Pride Before The Fall)Theme: Pride Before The Fall
Quote: From Funny GirlSomeday they’ll clamor for my drama.Scenario: An intellectually vacuous person discovers the popularity/fame/infamy that comes from being provocative on the Internet. This attention-seeking moron’s appetite for being noticed feeds on itself, and soon there is no act too low or too degrading if it can attract followers/pageviews/favorites.

<da:thumb id="589014206"/> prompts 2016 - MarchIt's a new month, so that must mean it's time for a new prompt!
For something a little different... it's a visual prompt! This is Lonesome Blues by the extremely talented threadzone. Go check out his gallery!

What is this? Where is this? Why is this? How did that guitarist get there? Why is his suit red? You can try to answer all these questions and more in a flash fiction piece! (You of course do not need to answer those exact questions. They were just to get your brain working).
As always, please submit by the end of March to the 2016 prompts folder > http://flashfictionlives.deviantart.com/gallery/57358902/2016-prompts
Thanks again to threadzone for the inspiration. I am sure he would love to see what you come up with, so maybe make a link or include a link in a note!
PS: I will be looking at February's entries very soon.
Theme of the Week: PrimitivityEver wonder what would humanity would be if the world were to restart? A post-apocalypse, or a system reboot? Deep down, we are all still primitive savages. We are all capable of murder and reverting back to our primitive instincts. Some examples of feral humans and savagery in literature are demonstrated in the novel Lord of the Flies and the film Doomsday.
In the days when we huddled around fires and made spears of rocks, humanity was an infant species, barely mastering language and the handling of tools. It was the beginning of culture. Without culture, we would be simple primates; animals.
So let our cultured literature sink its pen in the brutal, the uncultured, the feral, and the primitive. This week is the reliving of the Stone Age.

Feature ~ Luck
by :iconhopeswings777:
I have to make this quick, because I am already late with submitting this journal and it is very late where I am! But for the next bi-week, the prompt will be spring. The snow is melting, the birds are chirping, the politicians are ruining my faith in humanity! Write something short and sweet about spring!
Have a nice week!

Food. We all eat it--Some more than we should, others less, and some just the right amount. Some follow strict dietary rules; others simply stuff our faces with whatever is handy. Some of us eat out of a box or tupperware; others on fine china and silver. Everyone's food ritual is unique to the individual, our habits grown out of our geography, social class, religion, economic status, and countless other influences.
The Prompt

If you're looking for something really challenging try looking through ScreamPrompts or transliterations journals. Keep in mind these groups are not "active" and do not accept submissions.

The Challenge

Potatos gonna potate. Use any prompt and include the word "potatoes" in the piece.

If you just shook your head at the above, because that challenge it SO EASY, then here's something harder. Take one prompt from the first page of Reddit's Writing Prompts and mix it with Unseen-Writers's Primitivity prompt!

Hey! Don't forget me!

If you know of any other prompts please let us know by leaving a comment! We take suggestions for off-site prompts too.
